Are we lacking the one thing we need right now?
Week 4 | Day 17 | Connecting, still: Joy might sound frivolous, a fluffy add-on, but what if its core, to who we are, how we connect, and how we navigate uncertain times?
Hi there,
What happened with the great summer Banksy mystery? Why did the famed artist paint zoo animals across spots in London?
Some thought the goat perched next to Kew bridge was a comment on humanity's own precariousness. We thought that the lone wolf on a satellite dish captured the idea of how we're all, separately, just howling into the void.

Banksy's menagerie of monkeys, elephants, pelicans and more was created to cheer us all up, to help us see the light when the world was feeling overwhelming dark, and to show how creative play rather than negativity and destruction is our natural inclination as humans.
Joy.
That's it. So simple.
But there isn't enough of it in our busy lives. And if we had it, would we even notice it? Do we even think that's something to aim for? Does our natural cynicism kick it when we think about inviting in more joy?
