In The Wellery this May: meet you where you are
This month we'll be exploring together how to prioritise our mental health and emotional wellbeing during uncertain times
Hi there,
As I write this the sun is shining, it’s almost hot! People are making eye contact, saying hello, and sharing their glee at the shift in weather. We’re coming out of ourselves as sandals leave wardrobes, summer dresses are retrieved from under the bed and we start to show some skin (emotional or otherwise!).
We’re starting to remember ourselves as we shed winter layers and emerge into the world. After overly long months of going within, we now have a moment to look up, see where we’re at and evaluate what’s out there.
Some of us may be surprised by what we find. There’s a life to be had, and maybe we’re starting to wonder how we’re showing up in it. We may even be excited about what we’re returning to.
We could be finding ourselves in a whole new place and wondering how the hell we got here. We may have even lost some familiarity with ourselves, our lives and those around us.
May can be a good moment to catch ourselves. It’s both connected with new beginnings (all that blossoming and growth!). And it’s Mental Health Awareness Month, which gives us a chance to (re)explore what prioritising our mental and emotional wellbeing looks like for each of us.
Our agenda for the month ahead is inspired by where we’re finding ourselves now. Over these posts, sessions, 1:1’s and a whole new Wellbeing Challenge, you’ll get to connect with more of what you need, explore life with curiosity and start to create a plan for your mental and emotional wellbeing that will serve you through all the months of the year.
Here’s what’s coming up this May:
Co-Journaling
This month is all about how we move through our lives and fold in good mental health as we do so. Next week, inspired by the theme of Mental Health Week which is “Move Your Life” you’ll receive Journal Prompts designed to shift you from that stuck place/inertia to movement/ flow (whether that’s actual or metaphorical).
Wellbeing Challenge
Over the week of 20th May, I’ll be sharing 5 Ways to Well. If you’re feeling lost. overwhelmed, uncertain, and even confused, you’ll find some genuinely helpful ways to gently reframe and reset your life in the direction you want to go.
If you’re in The Wellery you’ll get all five days and some bonus materials.
If you’re not, don’t worry, you’ll receive the first three days (and you can always upgrade if you want to explore more — see the offer below).
Monthly Meet-up: Review
I’ve scheduled our monthly get-together after the Challenge, so let’s keep it open this time and bring whatever comes up for you. We’ll cover a lot over those days and I’m excited to hear about where this takes you.
Pop-Up Office Hours
If you find you need more 1:1 support this month as we’re in conversation with your mental health, you can book a pop-up office. These mini-coaching sessions give you space to explore your wellbeing with some guidance.
Lost Together Book Club: I Didn’t Do The Thing Today
I’ve mentioned this book by Madeleine Dore before — it’s a great read for figuring out what gets in the way of doing the thing that we believe will help us. We know so much about being a person today, but it can still feel impossible to get to those (scientifically backed) well-being practices.
This book has many strategies (and compassion) for when things do get in the way as is inevitably the case. (If you get your copy here you’ll be supporting local bookshops and also my work as I get a small percentage of sales).
The details for all meet-ups for Wellery Members are below.
If you’re not a Member, I’d love to welcome you in. Join now for 20% off the annual subscription and discover more ways to navigate life well.
Together, these reflections, meet-ups and challenges, will help you nurture your mental well-being and find your way through life, particularly if you’re finding that you’ve lost your way and/or you’re ready to skip through spring meadows.
See you soon!
