A Very Well-ish Holiday Season | Episode 1

A podcast mini-season on how to better navigate the Holiday Season. This first episode focuses on how to embrace the 12 Emotions of Christmas

Well, hello there. This is new.

Today, and for the rest of the month, I’m experimenting with podcasting.

I’ve loved the medium and have often found myself wondering if there’s something there beyond listening for me.

So I’ve set myself a challenge to post one new episode each week of December to see whether I both enjoy it and feel confident that I’m not adding to the noise of more wellbeing advice shows.

In this first episode of the podcast mini-series A Very Well-ish Holiday Season, I’ll be guiding you through how to manage the complex mix of emotions that often accompanies the festive season.

In this episode, I discuss the 12 key emotions—joy, gratitude, nostalgia, overwhelm, loneliness, resentment, hope, guilt, relief, anxiety, excitement, and peace—providing insights and practical steps for acknowledging and balancing them.

This episode emphasizes the importance of validating and naming emotions and offers strategies to create intentional moments of joy and connection while navigating the challenges that can come with this time of year.

I also touch on how to manage grief during the Holiday Season and invite you to share your own emotional experiences of the festive season.

I hope you enjoy this first episode. I’ll post the next one in a week when I’ll be focusing on how to approach self-care during December when we all feel like we’re stretched to capacity.
